We visually capture the Creighton experience and the value of a Jesuit education to support marketing and advertising for the University's print and web materials. Our photography services primarily focus on projects that support student recruitment and raise the profile of the University.

To request a photo shoot for use in University marketing and communications materials, please complete a photography request.

We do our best to accommodate all requests, but photo shoots that occur outside of work hours (8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) may be outsourced to a third party with possible costs attributed. See Additional Photographer Options below.

Headshots (Omaha and Phoenix)

Headshots - Omaha

Headshots are offered on a walk-in basis, two times each month in the headshot studio located in the Murphy Building.

First Tuesday of every month, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Third Wednesday of every month, noon to 4 p.m.

Headshots will be available approximately two weeks after they are taken.

Who is eligible for a headshot?

All Creighton faculty
Creighton staff who are featured in a UCOM marketing campaign
Creighton staff who will be representing Creighton to the community (i.e. speaking at a conference, featured in a publication, etc.)

Do I need to fill out a Project Request for a headshot?
You no longer need to fill out a photo request form for a headshot, and no appointment is needed! Arrive anytime between 9 a.m.–1 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month, or noon–4 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month.

Do you charge a fee for headshots?
There is currently no fee for headshots at the Omaha campus.

Where do I go to have my headshot taken?
Our headshot studio is located in the Murphy Building - Suite C at 701 N 20th Street (#41 on Creighton Map). The entrance is on the south side of the building. It is next door to the the Ruth. Parking is available on the north side of the Murphy building.

When will I have access to my headshot?
Headshots will be available approximately two weeks after they are taken. You will receive an email notification when your photo is posted in Photoshelter, Creighton’s photo management system. To access your photo, log into Photoshelter using your Creighton’s Single Sign On (SSO), and either click the link emailed or search for your name in the online search tool. Feel free to download your headshot using the arrow in the bottom right of the web page.

What should I wear?

An outfit that makes you comfortable and confident.
Layers! Layers add depth and texture to a photo.
Avoid bold stripes, plaids, checks, dots, and busy prints.
Avoid light flesh tones such as beige, tan and peach.
Wearing all black is not recommended as it will photograph flat.

Can I have my headshot taken more than once?
Headshots should not be taken more than once a year; however, most employees only have them taken once during their Creighton employment. Featuring faculty members on our external website or staff members who are presenting at a conference are the primary reasons headshots are offered.

Phoenix headshots will be scheduled throughout the academic year through the UCOM team in Phoenix.

How do I access PhotoShelter?
Go online to creightonuniversity.photoshelter.com and click on “Login”.

If you have a creighton.edu email address:

Click on the Internal Login button.
Sign in with your Creighton account information.

If you do not have a creighton.edu email address, select “Use our public login” to request access.

How do I locate images within PhotoShelter?
Two way to search:

Click on Search and enter a keyword(s).
Browse photos using the Invited Galleries.

What are the usage rights for photos on the site?
Photos are for University use only. Photos cannot be used for any outside advertising or personal use.

Once photos have been taken, when are they available for use?
We do our best to prepare photos for use as quickly as possible, but please allow for up to two weeks.
