Whether you are a student, faculty or staff member, you have a role to play in shared governance, which is often defined as the structures and processes by which we all participate in the development of policies and decisions that impact our institution.  At Creighton University, we have our Creighton Student Union, the Staff Advisory Council (SAC), Faculty Council and Academic Council.

Additionally, Creighton functions through a variety of committee structures — some with appointed membership and some with elected membership. Learn more about the committees that represent you.

Should you wish to more actively participate in our deliberative and decision-making processes, please consider serving on one of these committees.

A formal call for faculty nominations will be distributed this month, with elections in March and April. So, if you want to know more about how the university functions and/or want to actively engage in these conversations, please consider running in the upcoming election.

If you have questions, please contact Mary Ann Danielson, PhD, president of the University Faculty, at maddam@creighton.edu or 402.280.2535.
