Effective Tuesday, Aug. 15, Creighton University will be expanding its tuition benefit offerings for employees, their spouses and their dependent children following a multistage, campuswide feedback process.

Tuition remission, which covers the credit-hour costs for eligible groups who wish to take Creighton University courses, was identified as one of the University’s most preferred rewards based on data collected through the Total Rewards Survey conducted in fall 2023. Following additional stakeholder feedback, the following enhancements are being added:

  • An expanded list of qualifying courses and degree programs;
  • Elimination of the six-month waiting period to access the tuition remission benefit;
  • Addition of a 25% tuition discount for spouses and dependents on qualifying post-baccalaureate programs;
  • An increase in the undergraduate discount and other discounts for eligible employees working less than 1,560 hours annually. This includes:
    • 100% tuition remission for the employee.
    • $25,000 discount for a spouse/dependent enrolled full-time in qualifying undergraduate programs
    • 25% tuition discount for spouse/dependents for part-time qualified undergraduate programs and qualifying post-baccalaureate programs.

The expanded tuition remission and discount benefits to Creighton University’s Total Rewards program are in response to the recent survey feedback and aligned with Creighton’s objectives to attract and retain outstanding faculty and staff.
