FINDING PREREQUISITES
HOW TO FIND A COURSE'S PREREQUISITES
- Go to the NEST -- you don't have to log in.
- Click on "Schedule of Courses" in the menu.
- Select the term you want to search. Click Submit.
- Search for a course.
- Search by Subject and Course Number and any other parameters.
- Click Class Search.
- Click on the Course Title under Sections Found. (See Item 1 below.)
- Review Detailed Class Information. (See Item 2 below.)
- Look for information on Prerequisites, General Requirements, Restrictions, etc.
- Prerequisites are specific courses you must already have taken.
- Corequisites are specific courses you must take in the same term.
- Restrictions examples include Classification, Field of Study, Degree Program, etc.
- Any course may have multiple prerequisites, requirements, or restrictions.
- If you have not met all the requirements, you will receive a registration error.
