Person or Group You Would Like to Recognize: Jo walton

Jo has been with the University a long time and is an invaluable resource. This is not a secret as it is evidenced by how often Jo is called upon to shoulder staffing shortages. She is the go-to person when anyone needs help. Jo effortlessly builds collaborative and friendly relationships with all who are blessed to work with her. Hard work and reliability are two additional strengths of hers. Her high capacity keeps her at the office long hours but she never lets anyone down. In addition to her high capacity and high effectiveness, Jo is always a delight to work with. She cares about those around her and has remarkable authentic empathy. Person or Group You Would Like to Recognize: Taylor Janicek

"Taylor Janicek serves as our Assistant Director for Sorority Life at Creighton. As a newer employee to Creighton, he constantly steps up and and in to new challenges to welcome our students and help them feel a sense of belonging. The AD for Fraternity Life role has been vacant since the summer. Taylor graciously has stepped up to advise our men in fraternities, helping them coordinate fall recruitment activities, manage risk and develop their leadership. Additionally, he has stepped up to help our BluejayLife social media accounts. While not in his job responsibilities but knowing Student Life had a vacant role, Taylor has helped promote involvement opportunities for students looking to find their niche. And finally, Taylor advised Dance Marathon this past fall. The students raised over $72,000 for Children's Miracle Network, partnering with our local community. And now, Taylor gears up for women's recruitment and welcoming new members into our sorority life community. I appreciate that Taylor has stepped up in many ways to make sure our students know what is going on at Creighton as well as making time to advise those students who do not have an advisor right now. His spirit of service is greatly appreciated!"
