Fiscal responsibility and accountability are deeply rooted in the concept of budgeting and the subsequent comparison of actual performance against budgets. Numerous spending, financing and investment decisions are made by the University based upon the belief that departments will perform within the confines of their approved budgets.
Direct Pay Requests, purchase requisitions, journal vouchers, and other spending requests will not be processed for Grant, Contract, or Donation funds if budgeted funds are not available.
