For Encuentro Alumni

Welcome home, Encuentro students, and welcome to the greater network of Encuentro Alumni! Returning to the States and charting new directions can be a challenging part of studying abroad through the Encuentro Program.

Many students are exposed to new ideas, fresh perspectives and a changed world view often resulting from their interaction with issues of poverty and development in a developing country.  This, in addition to new friendships and personal experiences makes one's trip back to Creighton University (or your home campus) more complex.  This often forces students to confront issues back at home that they never saw on the horizon when they were planning their study abroad experience.

Many resources are available for students as they return to campus to help make the transition seamless while providing a supportive environment in which students can continue to develop and thrive.
