Associate Vice Provost for Student Development

Dr. Young works directly with the Department of Residential Life, the Office of Community Standards and Wellbeing, Student Counseling Services, and the Student Health Education and Compliance Office. He also focuses on students of concern and providing helpful strategies for students who have various barriers to their success. Dr. Young is an alum having received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Creighton University in 1993, a Master of Education in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education from Texas A&M University in 1995, and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 2006. Dr. Young is very active regionally and nationally in student affairs association work and also teaches in the Interdisciplinary Doctorate Program at Creighton.
