CURAS administers several different fellowships as part of the Summer Undergraduate Research & Creative Projects Fellowship (SURF) Program. Each fellowship includes a student stipend, supply funds, and faculty honoraria to support 10 weeks of full-time summer research under the guidance of a Creighton faculty member. Calls for applications typically occur every November, with proposals due mid-February. The different kinds of scholarships are:
- College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (Sponsored by the Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences; open to all students in the College of Arts & Sciences)
- Heider College of Business Dean's Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (Sponsored by the Dean of the Heider College of Business; open to students in the Heider College of Business)
- College of Nursing Dean’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (Sponsored by the Dean of the College of Nursing; open to all students in the College of Nursing)
- Ferlic Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (Made possible by a generous donation from Dr. and Mrs. Randy Ferlic; open to students in the College of Arts & Sciences undertaking research in the fields of biochemistry, biology, chemistry, neuroscience, environmental science, physics, and mathematics)
- Honors Program Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (sponsored by the Director of the Honors Program; open to members of the Honors Program)
- History Department Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (Made possible by a generous donation from a Creighton History alumnus and open to students who have declared a major or minor in History)
- Suren and Madvi Gupta Endowed Fellowship (Made possible by a generous donation from a Creighton family; open to all undergraduates undertaking research in the fields of biochemistry, biology, chemistry, neuroscience, environmental science, physics, and mathematics)
- Clare Boothe Luce Summer Undergraduate Research Scholarship* (Made possible by the Clare Boothe Luce National Foundation; open to female sophomore and juniors majoring in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, energy science (B.S.), environmental science, mathematics, neuroscience and physics who do not intend to pursue a career in medicine.)
- Archives & Special Collections Research Fellowship (Sponsored by Creighton University Libraries, open to all students who plan to undertake a research project focused on content found in the University Libraries archives collections or rare book collections in a research project)

Applications for the Summer Undergraduate Research & Creative Projects Fellowship Program are due mid-February each year.
