Welcome Week Events on the Phoenix Campus

Welcome Week, taking place Monday through Thursday, Aug. 26-29, is an opportunity to celebrate the start of a new academic year for all Phoenix campus students. 

Welcome Week is designed to help students navigate the campus, make new connections, understand what resources are available to them, explore different organizations, learn how to get involved and foster the Bluejay spirit. Faculty and staff are also invited to participate in the following Welcome Week events.
 

Monday, Aug. 26

Bluejay Fuel Station

7:30 to 10:30 a.m. MST

Spirit Lounge

Kick off the academic year by stopping by the Spirit Lounge and ordering your favorite coffee from Blue House Coffee! The first 120 students to stop by and follow Student Life on Instagram will receive a free coffee of their choice.

Root +Gather Yoga Series Kickoff

5:30 to 6:30 p.m. MST

Doris S. Norton Ballroom

Come root, gather, move and reflect together at our first yoga session of the year! Join yoga instructor, Anaiz, in a 45-minute all-level vinyasa flow. Prioritize your well-being and meet fellow peers!

Tuesday, Aug. 27

Bluejay Invasion

5:30 to 7:30 p.m. MST

Doris S. Norton Ballroom

Celebrate the start of the year while making connections as you explore different opportunities to get involved and the different resources that are available to you. There will be a food truck, music, photobooth, caricature drawings and giveaways!

Wednesday, Aug. 28

Division of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Welcome Mixer

4:30 to 6:30 p.m. MST

PHSC, Room 604

The Division of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion invites students to a mixer to celebrate diversity in our community! Meet and build community with other students who share your experiences. Light refreshments will be provided.

Thursday, Aug. 29

Take a PAWs Pet Therapy

Noon to 1 p.m. MST

Second Floor

Take a pause during your busy day to meet our friends from Pets on Wheels and enjoy some puppy love and cuddles! Keep an eye out for our volunteer support animals roaming the 2nd floor during lunch.

Bluejay Soccer Watch Party

5 to 7 p.m. MST

Second Floor

Don't miss the opportunity to cheer on our Creighton Men's Soccer Team as they face Loyola Chicago in the Jesuit Invitational. Trivia, music, prizes, and snacks are guaranteed! Come in Creighton gear and show off your Bluejay pride.
