Web Phase 2 June Update

Creighton Information Technology, University Communications and Marketing, and numerous campus partners have been working on Web Phase 2, preparing for the launch of a new University intranet and updating important external webpages.

As work on content areas on the my.Creighton.edu (internal) and Creighton.edu (external) websites continues, a preview of the new intranet site at my.Creighton.edu is anticipated to launch the first week of August. This preview site will allow all campus users to access the new site in parallel with the existing myCreighton site until the final switch-over is complete.

myCreighton 

The myCreighton project team has made great strides this past month. The myCreighton site currently consists of approximately 550 pages representing about 40 areas of the University. As content areas across campus continue to be completed, a preview of the new myCreighton site is anticipated to launch the first week of August. This preview site will allow all campus users to access the new site in parallel with the existing myCreighton site until the final switch-over is complete.

What We’ve Done

• Completed the initial development of the site with all first-phase features, including Creighton Today, campus announcements, calendars and class rosters (including student images)
• Completed content in several key areas, including academic, administrative and student
• Developed training materials and videos

What We’re Doing

• Working with additional areas across campus to create content using GatherContent, with the support of our outside vendor
• Making refinements to department and people directories
• Continuing to refine search capabilities

What’s to Come

• The project team will continue to reach out across campus to engage other areas in the development of their content pages.

Creighton.edu 

The UCOM web and marketing teams have continued work on the external-facing Creighton.edu site. See progress below.

What We’ve Done

• Sent Admissions pages for final review to Enrollment Management
• Handed off the pages for Cost and Aid section to Financial Aid for review
• Continued content work for the new School of Pharmacy and Health Professions pages
• Met with School of Law stakeholders to initiate the content work on law pages
• Reviewed mega menu and homepage design mockups

What we’re Doing

• Making final edits to content on the Admissions section
• Financial Aid reviewing new Cost and Aid section
• Continuing content work for the new School of Pharmacy and Health Professions pages
• Beginning content work for the School of Law pages
• Mapping out content work on the About section
• Providing feedback and reviewing final mega menu and homepage designs

What’s to Come

• Preparing to launch Admissions section
• Finalizing Cost and Aid section based on feedback from Financial Aid and preparing to launch
• Finalizing new pages for the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions and sharing with stakeholders for review
• Building/coding the updated mega menu and redesigned home page
