Uniting with AJCU in Diversity and Equity

Creighton's Division of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion participated in the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities (AJCU) Diversity and Equity Network Conference at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. 

Devin Owens, director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion for Alumni and Corporate Engagement, delivered a presentation exploring the intersections of advancement and equity, diversity and inclusion. Her talk, "Sustaining Your Diversity and Inclusion Efforts," was designed to equip diversity and inclusion practitioners with innovative and sustainable strategies to advocate for resources and focused on how effective communication can ensure the allocation of time and talent toward programming and scholarships benefit underrepresented students and support student-led organizations.

Owen's contributions underscore Creighton’s commitment to fostering an inclusive community where all students have the opportunity to thrive. 

This year's conference marked the first gathering since 2019, uniting DEI practitioners and allies from Jesuit colleges and universities from across the United States.  Read more about the conference.
