PT and Exercise Science Faculty Publish on Children with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Principal Investigator Anastasia Kyvelidou, PhD, along with co-investigators Dimitrios Katsavelis, PhD, and Kirk Peck, PT, PhD, published in the International Journal of Developmental Disabilities. 

Their groundbreaking research in collaboration with Heartland Equine Therapeutic Riding Academy (HETRA) has shown that children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) benefit from intervention with horses and improved their social and motor skills. This study was funded by the National Institute of Health.
