New myCreighton Enters Preview/Verification Stage

The myCreighton project team is pleased to announce that the new my.creighton.edu portal is nearing completion, with content integrated from various departments across the campus. The next step involves engaging different groups to validate and verify that the key features and content of the site are ready for a University-wide launch while the team gathers remaining content from departments and areas. 

In December 2021, the University initiated a project to refresh its websites, transitioning creighton.edu into a public-facing site and launching my.creighton.edu as an internal portal designed for students, faculty and staff. In May 2023, an extensive effort was made to gather feedback from a diverse group of faculty, staff and students to identify the primary needs for a reimagined myCreighton. Key improvements include: 

• Enhanced organization and search capabilities: The new site features an advanced search tool with filters that allow users to search across myCreighton (including Creighton Today), creighton.edu, SharePoint and the myServices portal. It also offers a comprehensive organizational menu, links to frequently used resources and customizable quick links for individual users. 
• Consistent branding and modern interface: The site employs a standardized template throughout, ensuring uniformity in design, layout and information accessibility. It is optimized for mobile devices, allowing users to access all content and features on smartphones, tablets and PCs. 
• Personalization: Users receive a personalized experience based on their roles (e.g., faculty or staff), bookmark content and select events and receive dynamic updates such as calendars, news and major announcements.

The myCreighton project team will continue collaborating with departments across campus to finalize content, ensuring the portal is robust and beneficial for all faculty, staff and students at Creighton. A soft launch is anticipated toward the end of September for all users with a final production launch soon after. 

Creighton.edu Update 

The new admissions and cost and aid pages are live on creighton.edu. The web team worked with its development partner to push both sections live July 25. The web team is grateful to the teams in both Enrollment Management and Financial Aid for their extensive collaboration, partnership and expertise. The web team continues to review the pages to ensure all links work, etc. Redirects are in place in case anyone attempts to use an old URL.

In August, the team anticipates launching a new home page design and a new mega menu.
