A Mid-Summer Reflection

Dear Colleagues,

It has been an exciting summer thus far on our campuses as we reach the halfway point from the end of one academic year and the beginning of another. In both Omaha and Phoenix, we are making physical and programmatic changes that will improve the ways in which our community learns, teaches, and works. And in just over a month, we will begin forming a new generation of compassionate leaders when we welcome the Class of 2028 to Creighton.

Until that time, however, it is important that we reflect and care for ourselves, just as we care for others.

As we approach the upcoming respite of the Independence Day holiday, may we remember the values and courage upon which our country was founded and apply those characteristics to our own lives. Let us continue to be innovators guided by an intention to make the world better for all.

Have a tremendous Independence Day, a restful holiday week, and an enjoyable remainder of the summer, Bluejays!

Sincerely,

Rev. Daniel S. Hendrickson, SJ, PhD
