Malik and Ha Present at the International Conference for Asian American Studies

Surbhi Malik, PhD, associate professor, and Hyoseol Ha, PhD, assistant professor, both in the English Department, College of Arts and Sciences, presented their research at the annual conference of the Association for Asian American Studies, the largest international conference dedicated to interdisciplinary and intersectional Asian American Studies. The conference was held in Seattle from April 25-27.

Malik's paper, "I Love All People: Emotions and Shared Vulnerabilities in Refugee Women's Stories," and Ha's paper, "Cripistemic Injustice and Communities of Care in Sui Sin Far’s Chinatown Stories," were part of the panel "Politics of Care and Vulnerability in AAPI Women's Narratives," which was organized by Malik and Ha and chaired by Ha.
