With the closure of the Health Sciences Library in the BioInformation Center in mid-August and the merger of library spaces at Reinert, University Libraries and Facilities staff are undertaking a major refresh of library spaces.
“This merger provides an opportunity to reimagine student spaces in Reinert,” says Elizabeth Kiscaden, assistant vice provost for Library Services. Projects will focus on enhancing the student experience by modernizing the look of library spaces, increasing the collection space to house materials from the Health Sciences Library, and building more individual study spaces.
Construction at Reinert is expected to begin directly after the conclusion of the Spring term and will last throughout the summer. All physical library collections, staff and services from the Health Sciences Library will be relocated to the Reinert Library by the start of the Fall term.
