Recognized for her exceptional leadership and dedication to the Center for Faculty Excellence over the past five years, Debra Ford, PhD, will be leaving her position as associate vice provost of the center on July 1 to assume an academic and administrative role within the College of Professional and Continuing Education.

“We are so grateful for Dr. Ford’s untiring efforts and outstanding service on behalf of the Center for Faculty Excellence, particularly her leadership in helping the University successfully pivot to online course delivery during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Gail Jensen, PhD, vice provost for learning and assessment.

“She has been such a tremendous advocate for supporting the professional growth of our faculty and staff in our core mission of excellence and innovation in teaching and learning in the Jesuit tradition. Under her direction, the center has significantly advanced the scholarship of teaching and learning, e-learning and assessment at the University.”

Ford has served as interim and then associate vice provost of the center since 2018. In her new role, she will return full time to the faculty in the Interdisciplinary Leadership EdD program, while also assuming some additional administrative responsibilities.

Lou Jensen, OTD, associate professor and director of faculty development in the School of Pharmacy and Health Professions, will serve as interim associate vice provost of the CFE as the University seeks innovative ways to continue to advance the good work of the center.
