Daniel R. DiLeo, PhD, associate professor and director of the Justice and Peace Studies Program, was cited by Bishop John Stowe, OFM Conv., in the Catholic Diocese of Lexington renewables press announcement and commitment to be net zero carbon by 2030.

"I first learned about [net zero] from a professor at Creighton University named Dan DiLeo," said Bishop Stowe (in video starting at 11:02).

The announcement was covered by national media, including National Catholic Reporter, "The release of Laudate Deum further spurred Stowe to move forward on discussions he had had in recent years, including with Edelen and Creighton theologian Dan DiLeo, who has advocated for U.S. dioceses to decarbonize."
