Join members of the Creighton community in a Catholic Social Teaching series, sponsored by the Division of Mission and Ministry and Justice and Peace Studies Program. Register by Sept. 14.

This series includes eight free lunches and is an opportunity for faculty and staff to better understand CST and explore its integration into personal, professional, and institutional life. Catholic social teaching (CST) is the Church’s official doctrine on living Christian love and is essential to Creighton’s mission. It proposes principles for reflection, provides criteria for judgment, and gives guidelines for action.

The series is open to persons of any religious identity and welcomes anyone interested in Creighton’s mission. Topics are centered in the impact on human dignity and life in society, including rights and duties, poverty and marginalization, common good and government, economics and markets, voting, health care, racism, immigration, climate change, violence, and peacebuilding.

The series meets on eight Fridays in the fall from 12:15-1:15 pm CST in the Skutt Student Center.

A Spring 2024 virtual series will meet to serve Phoenix and distanced colleagues. Email questions to danieldileo@creighton.edu.
