Canon Improving Print Security

To improve the security of Creighton information, most faculty and staff Canon devices will provide only the “Secure Print” option beginning on Monday, July 1. Not only is the option more secure, but it allows you to retrieve your print job from other campus printers.

How is Secure Print different than what I use today?

It simply means that you will need to tap your ID card on the card reader (or log into the device) at the printer where you wish to retrieve your print job. Secure Print has always been an option but many on campus have previously used Direct Print, which does not require you to tap your ID or log into the device.
