School of Medicine students and College of Arts and Sciences: A Portrait of Medical Humanities Exhibit, Jan. 7-31

The exhibition A Portrait of Medical Humanities: Artwork by Creighton University Students is on display now through Jan. 31 at Hot Shops Art Center, 1301 Nicholas St. in Omaha.

This exhibit is a collection of work by School of Medicine students and College of Arts and Sciences studio art majors. Many of the works were created in the Art of Examination class taught by Rachel Mindrup, MFA, assistant professor. Other pieces were completed as independent studies by students in the bachelor of arts in studio art program who are pursuing a career in the health professions. The bridge between art and science is central to the theme of the exhibition.

The exhibit was made possible by the Richard Deming, MD, Endowment in Medical Humanities.
