Smith and Jordi Contribute Chapter in Cardiovascular Ethics Book

James Smith, MD, DBe, professor of medical education and medical humanities at Creighton’s School of Medicine, and Pamela Jordi, MD’15, have contributed a chapter, “An Ethical Discussion of Cardiovascular Disease in Pregnancy: Peripartum Cardiomyopathy and Pulmonary Hypertension,” to a newly published book, Ethical Issues in Cardiovascular Medicine.

In the chapter, Smith and Jordi review the ethical issues associated with significant and potentially life-threatening cardiac disease during pregnancy.  Jordi completed the manuscript for the chapter while she was a fourth-year medical student at the School of Medicine.
